More Product Pictures Done!
Websites like abeadstore.com become lumbering beasts when they have thousands of products purchased over a very long period of time. When we switched ecommerce platforms a couple years ago, we had no pictures or descriptions for the thousands of gemstone components sold in our store JewelryPlus.net. That’s because it was primarily a wholesale business, and our buyers were familiar with all the stones already so they were not asking for pictures.
As we launched those products on abeadstore.com, we knew someday we would have to take pictures of each component and provide data about them. We figured maybe 6 months…..Well, it’s more than 2 years, but we are finally almost done! Still some faceted points to do, but those are not big sellers in the retail market, so they are going to move very quickly toward completion. But, the gemstone pendants many of you buy are done. We even found items that never quite made it onto the site for sale.

Funny thing, as we’ve added pictures, people actually start buying them. Amazing how that works! Here’s a few samples of the items available in dozens of stones. You’ll find many unusual gemstones here that are impossible to find in round beads like the pictured Nundorite Bear.
